A multifaceted artist, in the field of teaching, she began her career at the Junior Department of the Guildhall School in London and spent two years at the Conservatory of Sion. She is currently a Professor of Cello at the RCSM in Granada, having obtained the position through a competitive examination.
She earned her Advanced Degrees in Cello and Chamber Music in Bilbao, both with the Extraordinary Prize. She later pursued postgraduate studies at the Guildhall School in London and completed a Master’s in Performance in Lausanne with Maestro Demenga, where she obtained her soloist diploma with honors.
In 1999, she was awarded the Birdie Warshaw Prize for Cello, the First Prize at the Dorothy Adams String Quartet Competition—granted by the Takács Quartet—and the Pyramid Award in London, awarded by Deutsche Bank.
For 25 years, she has maintained an uninterrupted performing career. As a soloist, she has played concerts with the Orquesta Ciudad de Granada, the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestre du Festival du Jura, the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra, the “Vivaldi” Orchestra of Paris, and the National Orchestras of Transylvania and Bucharest, performing works by Haydn, Saint-Saëns, Tchaikovsky, Penderecki, and Schumann.
As a member of various chamber music ensembles, she has performed in prestigious venues and festivals, including Wigmore Hall in London, the Manchester Festival, Musicades in Lyon, the Swiss Schubertiades, the Val Gardena Festival, CDMC in Madrid, the Botín Foundation in Santander, the Geneva Conservatory Hall, the Juan March Foundation, the Granada Auditorium, and the “Viva Cello Festival,” among others.
She has made numerous recordings, including the complete trios of Martucci for Naxos, the complete trios of Mozart and violin-cello music for IBS Classical, several CDs dedicated to Piazzolla with Classico, a discographic release by the Botín Foundation featuring works by Cantabrian composers, the quartets of A. Haba for BBC2, a monographic recording of García Abril for TVE2, and a live recital for ESPACE2.

Her career has been recognized by the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Granada, where she has been a full member since 2016 and director since 2019.
