ANDALUCIA EDITION

Spain, Music y Tourism

Leo de María

Spain, Music and Tourism: Andalusia Edition is presented as an international academic and cultural program designed to offer participants (pianists and singers) and their families a comprehensive educational and cultural experience. This initiative brings together various collaborating entities and organizations, integrating the planned academic, artistic, and cultural activities into a single program.

Following the success of its first edition, held last year in Madrid, the course is being held this year in the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, with the aim of expanding its reach and consolidating the project in new geographical and cultural contexts. This edition maintains the structure and principles that defined the previous call for applications, continuing the project and inviting participants from the first edition, as well as new interested parties, to participate again.

The academic program will begin with music masterclasses, held from July 11 to 15, and will include participation in the María Herrero International Piano Competition.

In parallel, accompanying persons and non-musician participants can take part in a complementary cultural program, which includes activities related to Spanish gastronomy and visits to key tourist sites in the city of Granada, as well as shopping areas and spaces representative of local tradition.

Once the academic activities have concluded, between July 15 and 20, an organized program of cultural and tourist visits will take place in the cities of Granada and Málaga. In Granada, the itinerary includes visits to the Albaicín, the Alhambra, the Mirador de San Nicolás, the Manuel de Falla House, and the Cathedral, as well as attending a flamenco performance. In Málaga, the itinerary includes visits to the Cathedral, Muelle Uno (Pier One), Plaza de la Constitución, and the Roman Theatre, among other sites of historical and cultural interest.

The course is designed as a comprehensive program, encompassing the planned academic and cultural activities, as well as meals during the stay. The organization invites those interested in participating in a proposal that combines musical training, cultural heritage and tourism promotion to formalize their registration in accordance with the terms of this call.

Dates: July 11-20, 2026.
Participants must arrive in Granada on July 9 or 10 and depart on July 21, 2026.
